Occasions Releases New Single “Burning Light” — A Song About Facing the Fire

After the release of our debut original single “Mountain Man,” we’re back with something heavier, sharper, and more personal - our new single, “Burning Light,” dropping Friday, March 27.

“Burning Light” was written by Andrew Chalaire, with lyrics by Bobby Pinkerton and Luke Li and it comes from a place that’s hard to ignore.

This song lives in those moments where life puts you on the spot, when there’s nowhere left to hide and no one else to point to. It’s about accountability, pressure, and the kind of self-reflection that forces you to decide who you really are.

Everyone faces that moment eventually.This song is about stepping into it.

A Bluesy Edge with Modern Weight

Musically, Burning Light leans into a modern blues-rock sound, inspired by the raw, expressive guitar playing of Stevie Ray Vaughan.

There’s grit in the tone, space in the groove, and a tension that builds throughout the track, blending that classic blues feel with a more current, hard-hitting rock energy.

Recorded at Baysound Studios

We recorded “Burning Light” at Baysound Studios in Sarasota, FL, a space with deep roots in rock history.

There’s something about being in a room like that that pushes you to dig a little deeper and bring more into the performance. We wanted this track to feel real, immediate, and alive and Baysound helped us capture exactly that.
